As a Fellow of the Institute of Engineers holding a Batchelor of Science (hons) and a Masters in Business Technology I have 35 years in the successful delivery of multi discipline projects, programs, maintenance, operations and production business outcomes across predominantly the Oil & Gas upstream, downstream, onshore and offshore sectors, as well as the Mining, Minerals and Metals markets. Secondary experience has been gained in the power generation and utilities sector in addition to significant delivery of complex software and mission critical systems for both private and government clients.
Such experience has been underpinned by a strong health and safety culture centred on a client and employee team based philosophy supported by black belt six sigma training.
Acting positions have purposely covered the entire business cycle from stand alone and integrated business development, strategic planning, continuous improvement, technical delivery and operational / production aspects including; mine management, design, project and maintenance start up, procedural development, program delivery, analysis, quality control, commercial risk, change, and variation management, through to close out for significant projects and programs in excess of $500m+.
The commercial environments have encompassed the traditional as well as partnership and alliance type models, involving risk and reward frameworks, productivity improvement, cost reduction KPI performance management type scenario’s as both the client and a service provider typically under various D&C/EPC/EPCM contracts, completing a holistic understanding of the business drivers and outcomes necessary for optimal client product delivery.
